ready to rock since EA canceled my original pre-order way back when. You can get it at Steam with unlocks and, like Donut said, you get access to the beta as of 1-28-10!

Any impressions from the game?

Well, I thought that my pre-order from the EA store had been cancelled....but I am thinking I have two copies now! Embarassed

I only played for a few minutes before my RADEON crashed - forgot to turn my fixes on. Sad

Anyways my impressions:

buildings and rubble were raining down on me. Snipers were pwning me. Spawn campers waiting for my spawn. IT is going to be fun! My BF2 skills were rusty at best. Need some practice.....so let's do it!

You guys simply have to get this game. I haven't had this much fun playing games since the BF2 days. Cyb, Donut, and I all played last night for a few rounds and it was so much fun! Squads FTW! Smile

Yep, really is a lot of fun. Just downloaded the demo on PS3 too.

I got the beta for free, no pre-ordering (no idea how I did it)

But, it's brutal. I love it.

So i've got the demo on the 360.

Seriously.. I don't know how to explain how awesome this game is. The Rush gamemode was incredibly entertaining, and kept me playing through the whole round. I like this gamemode because it brings you to a new part of the map for each stage of the attack. The environment changes so snipers have to fall back and take on new cover.

I'm not gonna lie, i played a few hours already only with sniper kit. At first I found myself aiming for the head and not getting one hit kills... But after I remembered that you have to calculate for drop, I started doing much better. It's hard to get used to after playing MW2 like a fiend. Both have their advantages, I'll admit. They're about even in my book (console perspective).

I hopped into the chopper, but let's face it, the controls for the consoles are so clunky it's almost no fun to fly. I got a buddy of mine to fly me around and we weren't shot down a single time. We ended the round each around 50 - 3.

It's incredibly fun destroying buildings. I also found the new UAV feature thing to be pretty fun as well. It reminds me of the saying "big things come in small packages"... no kidding. You can wreck everything with that little toy. Also, I believe it's a good way to "Command" as well. I'm not sure what the PC version is like, I know it's different.

Can those of you who have played the PC version answer a few questions?

- Can you communicate with the team without being in a squad?
- Are there squad leaders? If so, can they communicate with other SLs?
- Is the "CommaRose" as elaborate (I need ammo, i need a medic, i need a ride, etc, etc.) as it was in BF2? From what I've experienced, you can only spot enemy units.

Seems like DICE has kept the formula the same, just made it more condensed and user-friendly for the not-so-intelligent gamer. I approve.

There is squad speak, but don't think you can speak between squads. Not sure about squad leaders, but I know you can give orders, so I'm not sure who gives those orders...maybe it is the first person in the squad.

So far I can only spot enemies, but I believe you are supposed to be able to say other things, haven't experienced it yet though.

I've really been enjoying it on the PC, much more than the PS3.

It is also hard to say cuz it is still in beta. Who knows what the final game will look like too. I think I have only played with anyone I knew once and we were on vent so I never worried about the squad stuff. Laughing

I'm excited for the Squad Deathmatch. Or whatever they're calling it.

3 squads of 4 sounds interesting. I'm sure this will lead the competitive scene for BC2.

I was scouting the unlocks section a bit, and it seems like they've gone above and beyond with what you can do with your load-out. Remember how the stock weapons were tethered to what faction you got stuck on? It just hit me that they changed that.
