Just curious what you guys think about security software..

Which would you install on your computer and why?

Best software to pay for? Free? I would like to know so I can protect my computers from future virus bombardments. I've got them so bad that it keeps me up at night..

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated, as always. :)

I like Avast Antivirus, you do have to register it, but it is free and way better than any paid AV I have seen.

For Firewall, if that is your fancy, I use Comodo. Very nice, and VERY FREE. If you have a router, then you already have a hardware firewall, but I like to keep an eye on just what exactly is getting out - down to the process level.

Another decent FREE AV is AVG free edition. I used it once in the past and it was decent, I just found that Avast fit my needs better. Any machine that I fix/rebuild, I use Avast AV.
